We will long remember what they did here... The Story of Gettysburg National Military Park

Fought over the first three days of July 1863, the Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the Civil War, the Union victory that ended General Robert E. Lee's second invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Confederacy", it was the bloodiest battle of the war- 51,000 soldiers were killed, wounded, or captured. Since 1933, the National Park Service has cared for Gettysburg National Military Park as a symbol of America's struggle to endure, and as a lasting memorial to the two armies and soldiers who served in that great conflict.
John Heiser, Park Historian, will provide a brief overview of the battle, the area's post-battle significance, and why it became a national park. This presentation is intended to provide background so that you may take full advantage of your visit to Gettysburg and see the key locations of the park.

Can humans really hear animals’ thoughts? Absolutely. Jean Ussery, a practicing animal communicator (and former skeptic), has worked extensively with Greyhounds since 2008. In this seminar, she discusses what animal communication is and explains how it works. She’ll relate some of the humor, perspectives, philosophy, and wisdom animals have shared with their people through her. You’ll learn how knowing your dog’s viewpoint can transform your relationship. There will be plenty of time for questions.
